No Border in Sao Paulo

Before the day begins I just knew that show would be the best of my life, and when it ended there was no more doubt. After eight years listening their songs, see them singing just in front of my eyes and talk with them was really a great dream. In addition to meeting all of them, group’s managers and staff, I met many JAM Project’s fans whose came from the other side of the world just to see the show. Borders divide people, separate nations and space out cultures. These imaginaries borders were battle and war sceneries where people fought each other, in order to enlarge their geographic dominion. It also delimit or separate places, territories and landscapes, and it may have a wider meaning than simple separation lines. There is the border idea... Better saying, “No Border” as the slogan of this JAM Project’s world tour, in order to approach their relations with fans around many borders.  This is a gold opportunity for fans and it’s a short-term time. The group will travel to many mainlands between july and november (after their tour in Japan on this year’s first half).

In this first stop in Taiwan (Taipei) they made only one performance, in the gym of the University of Taipei and now came time to Brazil be the stage of this international tour! After this brief summary about the "No Border" i'll talk about the main event of the sunday evening in Sao Paulo. In the second week of event some Japanese personalities was in attendance: Kazuo Iwasaki from Radimenia (this program is broadcast in Radio Kansai) and Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun reporter – and a big tokusatsu fan, called Mishio Suzuki that made a live broadcast in the middle of the live show to his TV program "Radicaru" with all singers. JAM Project WORLD Flight tour in Sao Paulo took place at main stage of Mart Center, empty seemed to be huge, but just before the live show began was full up! The most crowded that I have seen it for a anime song show in Brazil in a few years, most dressed in green and yellow shirts of JAMProject live in Brazil. After about two hours of delay due to the Shaman metal-band that preceded the main event of the evening, the show was about to begin...

01. Rocks
All singers come on the stage and the public begins to scream, suddenly the instrumental music start... It is “Rocks” the opening song of the Sao Paulo live tour! Is a great surprise for me, because all the concert of this tour in Japan and Taipei always began with the No Border theme song. The atmoshere on stage looks great! Everyone happy and singing with this huge public. “Suuupaa Robo!!!”, “Suuupaa Robo!!!”

02. STORMBRINGER
Now the second music is the ‘Koutetsushin Jeeg’ theme song!! The original recording has feature brazilian Ricardo Cruz and Ichirou Mizuki, this time who replace Aniki vocal is Masaaki Endoh. Really, this song is great, even more in live version!

03. No Border
Finally, the 2008 world tour theme song! Never i've heard so much a song like this one, unfortunately they not perfomed the "HERO" song, which is also part of that single but this is worth, believe me all the fatigue and physical effort to remain standing for hours and hours worth it. This ia a part of the refrain “It's true. It's never a coincidence
It's something that was planned by somebody I want to tell you the truth About the "other side" of the border. They were pummeled by heavy rain. And they kept shouting desperately, No more war!”. The choreography of this music is very funny, with this stranges movements hehehe. Unfortunately the stage is very large and high and even the middle-meter distance is difficult to see direct all the singers. In the United States they will sing in English! I want to heard that!!

04. CRUSH GEAR FIGHT
“Crush Allright! Crush on Hippy! Crush gear Ride!” when the music started I could hardly believe!! Is one of my favourite JAM songs, was sung only twice on the Japan tour, in Osaka and Tokyo. Besides being the oldest of the whole set-list is one of the favorite of many fans, all singing together! Awesome!!

05. GARO ~SAVIOR IN THE DARK~
It began with a slow melody, and all side by side, singing a capella as the tour of Japan, I had read in a magazine report abou that, but seeing them live was awesome, fantastic! That was the last Tokusatsu series which I watched complete, for this reason i was hooked for the song. Is the first song of the live without Ricardo Cruz. After Garo, a sequence of solos performances begin.

06. Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger (Masaaki Endoh)
07. Rondo ~revolution~ (Masami Okui)
08. Dengeki Sentai Changeman (Hironobu Kageyama)

09. Yakusoku no Chi (Acústico)
Finished the season of solo performances, JAM Project staffs come on stage to adjust the instruments and Ricardo says that Fukuyama will play with a "cavaquinho"! - I hope the microphone of Kage not fall again as in Friday when he was singing “Ai no Soldier” acoustic! Now is the akogi corner! And the song is... ”Yakusoku no Chi” would be a surprise for me if my friend had not said that they had been sing this in the rehearsal, this morning.

10. In my heart (Acústico)
This was a good surprise!! This is one of my top-5 ranking too!! Masaaki Endou made everyone singing along saying in Portuguese "Everyone, sing with me" the refrain "In my soul", "In my heart" and "With your heart." As Fukuyama always say: this was awesome (ta foda, in portuguese). At the end I came to conclusion that this was the best music of the show in my opinion!

11. Angel Voice (Yoshiki Fukuyama)

One more solo, this time with Yoshiki Fukuyama. Angel Voice. I have no doubt that it is their best song ever.

12. We Are! (Hiroshi Kitadani)

13. Battle Communication
The last solo performance with Yoshiki Fukuyama and Hiroshi Kitadani was finished, all together come to the stage for one more nice song, is time to “Communication Line” and everybody dancing!!

14. PORTAL
15. Break Out
This is another great music, “Super Robot Taisen OG Divine Wars” theme song!! When the music ended I was already almost voiceless. “Just All Ready Let's Count Down 3 2 1 Go! oh oh oh oh oh Super Robot Wars!!!”. The more I hear this music more i like it! It is sensational!!

16. Genkai Battle
17. VICTORY

At this time all are straight with the arm raised and fingers like a "V"! It is a sign that the next song is V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! In the end all sing together side by side, in this moment I thought after almost eight years watching their shows in the TV and computer screen, can see them all together live on less than half a meter of my face was like a dream. Okay, okay I have not thought about it, nor could think of nothing about the show, was awesome hehehe

18. SOULTAKER
This song was requested by fans since the first time that Kageyama came to Brazil in 2003! Everybody shouting and singing along! It was the last song before the final encores.

19. Hagane no Messiah ~2006 ver.
After a break the singers return to the stage dressed with the green and yellow shirt of the tour in Brazil and with some 'goods' of JAM too! Ricardo also comes with a giant Brazlian flag with the emblem of JAM Project at the center, greeeeat!! I do not know if all remember, but in the end Endo was some 15 seconds shouting the refrain STOP THE WAAAAAAAAAARS!

20. GONG
This is another of my favorite songs! It was the first song that Ricardo Cruz recorded with the JAM when he was in Japan a few years ago, i hope that this new “Sempre Sonhando ~Yume Oibito~” song be so good like GONG! The lyric does not come out of my mind... And everyone seemed to know the refrain!

21. SKILL

The last song of the live begin, could not be otherwise, is "SKILL" one of the best known of the group, perfect to close the show! Everybody jumping and requesting more (Motto! Motto!). Ricardo was with the Brazilian flag, it was a nice image, a Brazilian member in JAM gives us very proud, i hope that the Japanese fans watch this live some day! It was a pity that the show is over, could last the all night, I was not more tired, it was worth every minute of that show! It was unforgettable!!

After years waiting, finally, JAM Project had been in my country in a world tour. The group made a performance to all viewers in these three days of concerts, solo and finally all together, interacting with the public and singing our favorite songs. Even without the presence of the official band members and singer & seiyuu Rica Matsumoto, we can say that was the biggest anime song live in Brazil in almost six years of events with international artists in Anime Friends. With many recent songs and some of his classics like "Crush Gear Fight!" "In my heart," "Hagane the Messiah" and "Soultaker", the JAM Project presented a diverse repertoire, which many fans waited with great anxiety and expectation since the beginning of this long day. Thank you JAM Project!

PS.: I'm sorry for my horrible translation, I will try to compensate in my next report!
